Power Rate for the Month of August 2024
POWER RATE ADVISORY to our Valued Member Consumer-Owners.
The overall power rate for the month of AUGUST 2024 has reduced to Php 13.9479 per kilowatt hour for Residential Consumers.
The reduction is due to the decrease in GENERATION CHARGE- this is the rate of power suppliers of ย DORELCO which reached Php 7.7457 per kwhr.
However, the TRANSMISSION CHARGE of the NGCP has increased to 1.0088 per kwhr.
These are pass-on charges that are part of our Power Rate, DORELCO only collects this charges to its MCOs and remits it back to the power suppliers and to the NGCP.
DORELCO’s DISTRIBUTION CHARGE remains at Php 2.0750. It has not increased ย since 2010.
DORELCO Power Rate up in July
DORELCO residential consumers are facing an uptick in power rates totaling to Php 16.4521 per kilowatt-hour for July billing which primarily attributed to a significant surge in the generation charge imposed by power suppliers.
NGCP’s Transmission Charge lower down to 0.9183 per kwhr for this month.
While DORELCO’s distribution charge of Php 2.0750, which covers the expenses associated with transmitting electricity from the point of generation to homes, has remained unchanged.
However, the substantial rise in the generation charge has overshadowed this static distribution cost, resulting in an overall increase in the electricity bill for consumers.
Residential Power Rate for the month of June 2024
DORELCOโs overall residential rate increased by P2.6332 per kilowatt hour (kWh) this June.
The higher generation and transmission charges pulled the overall residential rate up to P15.4819 per kWh from the previous monthโs 12.8487 per kWh.
Meanwhile, DORELCOโs distribution revenues of 2.075 has remained unchanged since 2010.

The ๐๐.๐๐๐๐/kWh rate reduction is attributed in the decrease of Transmission charge.

Mula Php 14.1862 noong Hunyo 2023 to Php 13.7762/ kwhr para sa buwan ng Hulyo 2023.
Ang 0.4100 per kilowatt-hour na bawas sa kabuuang presyo ay sanhi ng pagbaba ng Generation at Transmission charges.
Ang DORELCO bilang isang distribution utility kailanman ay hinid pa nag iincrease ng distribution charge simula pa noong taong 2010.

The DORELCO overall power rate continues to decrease for the month of May 2023 vs. June 2023.
Php 14.2069/ kwhr last May to Php 14.1862 this June 2023.
The 0.0207 per kilowatt-hour reduction is due to the decrease in Transmission charge.
DORELCO as the distribution utility remains NO INCREASE since year 2010.
Decrease of Power Rate for the month of April 2023
Generation Charge as the main contributor to the power rate decreased from Php 8.9320 to Php 8.2979 per kilowatt hour compared to March 2023, while the Transmission Charge posted an increase of Php 0.0494 and Other Charges of Php 0.0081 per kilowatt hour from last month.
DORELCO as the distribution utility remains NO INCREASE since year 2010.
In totality, a decrease in Residential Power Rate for APRIL 2023 displayed Php 14.8227/KWHr. compared to last month.
