The 60 years of darkness has come to an end. Residents of Sitio IRAYA, Brgy. Calsadahay, Tanauan are now rejoicing as DORELCO brought progress and improvement in their village. A total of 24 houses have successfully lighted through Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) of NEA and DORELCO.

“ Bisan ha inop, waray ini ha amon huna huna nga maabot hini dinhi nga lugar an serbisyo han DORELCO, imposible para hini nga harayo nga Sitio nga masigaan an amon kada tagsa nga panimalay”, says Brgy. Chairman Rosario Abanis in her message.

SB Member and MCOO Federation BOD, Bianito Fiel Jr. congratulated the new Member- Consumer- Owners of the coop as they can now watch televisions and children can study well at night with electricity in their homes.

Also, DORELCO General Manager, Allan L. Laniba distributed face masks and vitamins to the residents.

“It is heartwarming to see the bright smile on your faces”. ……”Electricity is the only comparison that we are equal to oligarchs. If they can drink cold water, we can drink cold water too. That if they can watch television, we can too”. Laniba disclosed.

DORELCO, Leyeco II and Leyeco III holds Press Conference on the implementation of PANTAWID LIWANAG Program

“With the 11 EC’s in the Region, more than 246,000 MCOs can avail in this program. We are thinking kung papaano kami makakatulong sa mga tao, marami naman ang nagbibigay ng PPE at marami din ang nagbibigay ng relief goods. Dahil nasa kuryente kami, kahit papaano, sa programang ito nakatulong kami sa vulnerable group”, says GM Laniba, President of the National Association of General Managers (NAGMEC) in the recently concluded Press Conference on the implementation of PANTAWID LIWANAG Program held today at LEYECO II, Tacloban City which was participated by thirteen Local/National Media groups.

“We are independent in terms of revenue, kinuha namin ang budget nito sa 8% na binabayad ng MCOs, 92% goes to generation cost”, GM Tan added.

Beneficiaries of DORELCO are those that consumed 1-15 kwhr for the month of Mar2020 bill, while 1-18kwhr and 1-20 kwhr for Leyeco III and Leyeco II, consecutively.
